Coronavirus - KBSTC implications

We have decided to keep our tennis facility open and are reviewing this decision on a daily basis.

From Friday, 20th March, all schools will be closed, although we are expecting an announcement on arrangements to keep school places open for key workers.

Ed Large at Excel Tennis Academy is closing down his group coaching programme from Saturday and we support this move.

At present, we anticipate the Easter Camp may go ahead but this will be kept under review. One-to-one coaching is also still available from Ed and his Team.

We believe the recommended ‘distancing measures’ can be achieved playing tennis outdoors and therefore will keep our courts open but it is imperative that members follow the general guidance:

Please wash your hands before you come to the venue and when you come off court. Try to avoid touching your face during play. The Club house will be open for members to wash hands but do not access equipment in the cupboards. Ball tubes will be left on the table.

We are aware these are exceptional times. Members are anxious about their health, and that of their families, and in some cases, their livelihoods. On behalf of the Management Committee, we wish you all well, remain safe and we hope to see you on court soon.
