Welcome to Kingston Bagpuize with Southmoor Tennis Club, your local friendly tennis club.

We provide the opportunity for players of all ages and abilities to enjoy tennis socially or competitively and to improve your game with our qualified coaches.

The whole philosophy of our club is to encourage tennis participation in a local, friendly and welcoming environment. We have an excellent track-record of offering membership fees that are among the lowest in our County, which together with our active adult and junior coaching programme, is the cornerstone of our success.

Our tennis club was founded in 1985 through the efforts of our local community and support of British Tennis. We are registered as a Community Amateur Sports Club (not for profit), run by volunteers.

We have two all-weather floodlit hard courts and a well-equipped clubhouse on the Village Hall site on Draycott Road, Southmoor. Our venue is registered with British Tennis and is open all year round.

We have an active membership of over 170, with a broad base of adult and junior players, drawn from across our Parish.

2020 is shaping up to be an exciting year for us. After three years’ hard work, with planning consent and new ground leases, the funding to build two additional tennis courts is nearly in place. In recent weeks, new grants and donations have taken the funding raised so far to over £106,000 and our plan is to start work on our new courts this Autumn. With 4 courts and a new digital gate, we plan to open our facilities to the public, with booking online.

If you're new to our village and have never tried tennis before, played years ago and fancy giving it a try again, or are currently playing elsewhere and want to play more locally, we'd love to welcome you to play with us! Give us a call or drop us an email to find out more, or even better, pop down in person and meet our members, mix in for a set or two.

We look forward to meeting you!
